survey of factors affecting to predict mammography in employed women aged 35 years and older based on the theory of planned behavior

background: breast cancer remains the most common malignancy in women worldwide and is the leading cause of cancer-related mortality . mammography is as the most accurate method for early detection of breast cancer. despite evidence that regular mammography screening can reduce breast cancer mortality; many women fail to receive mammography. this study aimed to determine the factors affecting mammography in employed women 35 years and older based on theory of planned behavior. methods: this cross-sectional study is a descriptive analysis that was conducted (1388) on 320employed women. the information gathered by the questionnaire mbaq questionnaire and data were code, analyzed using statistical tests-test and logistic regression. findings: the results of the study show that there are significant differences in average scores subjective norm،intention and perceived behavioral control between the groups that did mammography (27%) and the group that did not mammography. logistic regression analysis showed that significant predictors of to mammography behavior are subjective norm, intention and perceived behavioral control. conclusion: the results show that subjective norm, intention and perceived behavioral control are predicted mammographic screening of women. when mammography for women to understand and accept it as a norm going to do it and do it under their own control, mammograms will be doing.
